Pumpkin Burgers - Trick or Treat?

New York mag recently declared that pumpkin’s the new bacon, and maybe they’re right after all. Further proving that the big orange guy’s not just for pies and Starbucks lattes anymore, Burger King has unveiled its new BK Pumpkin and Pumpkin Bomb, sandwiches both featuring slices of fried kabocha pumpkin slices. OK, they’re only in Japan, but how long before the King decrees this a seasonal specialty in the states?

Chocolate Meth Bars Are a Bad Idea

A 34-year-old California dude was arrested at LAX trying to smuggle more than four pounds of meth disguised as Snickers on a flight to Japan. Not only were the 45 meth bars individually wrapped in Snickers wrappers, each one was dipped in a “chocolate-like substance.”

Says Snickers-makers and free publicity-haters Mars Inc. in a statement: “We are very disappointed by this unfortunate use of one of our brands.”
