CNN Confuses Drag Impersonator for Whitney

Chatting with guest LL Cool J, CNN’s Piers Morgan ran some b-roll of Whitney Houston while discussing her death. Too bad it wasn’t actually Whitney; it was footage of a German drag queen named Ikenna Benéy Amaechi, a Whitney impersonator for 21 years!

TMZ got Ikenna’s reaction to the gaffe:

“I feel very honored that I was mistaken for the real Whitney Houston on CNN … is there EVEN a bigger compliment for a tribute artist?!”
