10. MUSIC: Sticks & Stones, Cher Lloyd. If you love her breakout single “Want U Back,” download the U.K. X Factor alum’s first U.S. album, Sticks & Stones, when it’s out Oct. 2. 

9. BLU-RAY: The Princess Bride: 25th Anniversary Edition. It’ll be wuv, twoo wuv, when you add the extras-filled 25th anniversary edition of the cult hit, out Oct. 2, to your Blu-ray library.

8. MUSIC: Pitch Perfect: Original Motion Picture Soundtrack. The film is the new Mean Girls, it’s everything you wanted Glee to be, and it will change your life. You’ll want to download the soundtrack the moment after seeing it.

7. MUSIC: Lightning, Matt and Kim. Available Oct. 2, Lightning is the fourth feel-good DIY album from the Brooklyn indie pop duo.

6. DVD: New Girl: The Complete First Season. Fox’s funniest comedy is better than ever in its second season, but you’ll want to catch up on all of Zooey Deschanel’s adorkable antics when the first season is out Oct. 2 on DVD.

5. TV: 30 Rock. The seventh and final season of Tina Fey’s surreal sitcom, 30 Rock, premieres Oct. 4 on NBC with Jenna asking Liz to be her bridesmaid. Hilarity will no doubt ensue.

4. MOVIE: The Paperboy. You know, The Paperboy — the one where Zac Efron dances in wet tighty whities and gets peed on by Nicole Kidman. It’s in theatres Oct. 5.

3. MUSIC: Gold Dust, Tori Amos. If you didn’t enter our contest to win a free copy, Tori’s new album Gold Dust — a collection of reimagined orchestral versions of her classic jams — is available Oct. 2.

2. TV: Steel Magnolias. Steely Mags, y’all, back again. You know we’ll be tuning into Lifetime Oct. 7 to hear all our favorite lines get a sassy African-American beauty shop twist in Steel Magnolias 2.0 — starring Queen Latifah.
