David Lynch is a Creepy Artist Too

I See My Love, David LynchBest known and sorta feared for Eraserhead, Blue Velvet, Mulholland Drive, and Twin Peaks, surrealist filmmaker David Lynch also fancies himself quite the visual artist.

His new solo exhibition — his first in New York since 1989 — opens tonight and runs through Apr. 14 at the Tilton Gallery, and the artwork is pretty much as WTF as you might imagine. Very Joan Miró meets Tim Burton claymation. With tiny working lightbulbs. And no blue velvet in sight.
