David Beckham, King of Burgers

David Beckham is a flame-broiled piece of meat, but it's clearly his Harry Pottery pronunciation of “strawberry banana” that has Burger King employees making extra special sauce in a new commercial for the fast food chain.

The most ridiculous thing about the ad — yes, even more ridiculous than David Beckham eating at Burger King — is that the horny female cashier and male manager fantasize about the soccer star in a fancy suit. If this were Carl’s Jr., you know daydream Becks would look more like this.

Still, it's a cute commercial. Somewhat less impressive are the other new BK spots starring Salma Hayek — in Spanish! — and Jay Leno, but semi-official word has it that a quickly yanked Mary J. Blige commercial will be back online soon, despite some viewers who were put off by the sight of a famous black woman selling out over fried chicken in a wrap.
