Angry Birds Gets Queen-y

Rovio, the folks behind the hit game Angry Birds, teamed up with HIV/AIDS initiative Freddie for a Day to create a limited edition Freddie Mercury Angry Birds t-shirt. A portion of the proceeds will go to The Mercury Phoenix Trust, who support efforts of HIV/AIDS prevention worldwide founded in memory of Queen frontman Freddie Mercury.

If you’re more of a Mercury purist, the charity also has their own shirts available for purchase on their website. Freddie Mercury’s birthday was Sept. 6; he would’ve been 66 this year.

We’ve got Rovio’s video promoting the limited edition shirt after the jump.
